Cheap Mosquito Trap
It’s hard to find high-quality yet cheap mosquito traps
online. Sure the cheap ones are pretty easy to find but the
quality is often questionable. Other products such as
mosquito dunks for
example, can be acquired cheaply and the quality is usually
top-notch as well. Dunks are single-use item after all, so
you simply buy a bunch of them in one go and each one would
last for up to 30 days or more. End of story.
But with mosquito traps, it’s a different story. You get
those cheap, low-quality ones and you would probably face the
following issues:
1) The trap doesn’t work as advertised.
Mosquitoes with an expression of pure smugness would fly past
the trap as if it wasn’t there. I had my ultra-microscopic
glasses on while observing the mosquitoes and they had that
annoying schmucky look that really got me riled up! Ok that
last bit is obviously B.S. but I was truly angry with the
trap’s ineffectiveness.
2) Trap goes dead as Dillinger after just
one or two years of usage.
But it’s not all doom and gloom. Of course top-notch yet
cheap mosquito traps do exist. It depends on your budget. The
word “cheap” is subjective after all. In this case, my
definition of cheap is traps that cost around $50 to $100.
This price range may or may not be cheap for you, but I
really think we should draw the line when it comes to quality.
I once bought a 15.90 mosquito trap that was lousy as sin.
And then bought another trap for around that price range,
can’t recall the exact price but think it was about 17 bucks or
so, and got the same outcome. That’s 33 bucks down the drain
where mosquitoes were breeding in and chuckling quietly to
themselves. Those disease-carrying nimrods were mocking me I
tell you!
So yeah, the $50 to $100 price range should net you a decent
quality mosquito traps. I think that’s a fairly cheap price
range especially if the unit lasts for several years and works
well.
Any cheaper than that and quality might have to be
sacrificed. If you’re adamant on getting something lower than
the stated price range, then perhaps you might want to forget
about traps and opt for dunks (they only prevent larvae from
hatching into mosquitoes though), or a natural mosquito
repellent.
Anyway, I ‘m going to leave a link right below so you can
check out various mosquito traps with prices between
50 to 100 bucks.
